I'm Pissed

High school is the gate way to adulthood, right?
High school is supposed to be where students learn the daily skills needed in today's society.
It is also where students are supposed to learn how to live and act like adults; with passion and creativity.
Cursing is part of that creativity.
No, I'm not talking about someone pisses you off and you say, "Hey man, F*** you and your momma!"
I'm talking about joking around with some buddies and saying, "Ha, fuck you man, you know I don't like reggae."
The use of "curse words" is seen as highly offensive and "immature", but the fact of the matter is adults use them all the time.
"Well you're not supposed to use them in the 'workplace' setting," some people would say. But then why did my boss constantly curse in front of me (not at me) while I was working with him? He never cursed at anyone, but he cursed in front of whomever he wanted.
"Well he's an adult," you'd say, but ho-ho-ho, I've got you there. You see, the beginning of this post explains how high school is the gateway to adulthood.

All I'm asking for is some freedom. You control when we stand and sit, you control where we go and at what times, you control which doors we're allowed to use, you control what we eat, what we drink, and when we do so. The only "freedom" we have is in the hallways between classes, but with some teachers and administrators, even helping someone up who's fallen can be seen as a threat.

I just don't understand how you can harp on how the Bill of Rights is one of the most important pieces of legislature ever passed, and then go and deny us those right. It just doesn't make since to me.

I want the freedom to curse. That's all. I want the freedom to express myself and be me. If you can't give me that then what, exactly, am I getting from high school?
